Test Results

How do I get the result of my blood test, urine test etc from the Surgery?

test_results9Your GP/Practice nurse will inform you when taking a test how you should obtain your results.  If they don't please ask them! They should ask you to phone the Surgery or make an appointment to obtain your results.  Please phone the Surgery to obtain your result.  Usually our receptionist will be able to give you the results.

Most results will be back with the Surgery within a few days.  In some instances the GP may ask that you make an appointment to see them to discuss your results. Please ensure you attend for this appointment.

How do I get the result of my X-ray or other diagnostic test?

Please phone the Surgery to obtain the result.  Usually our receptionist will be able to give you the results. Urgent results are back with the Surgery in a few days.  Non-urgent results may take up to 2-3 weeks to be back in the Surgery.

In some instances the GP may ask that you make an appointment to see them to discuss your results. Please ensure you attend for this appointment.

Whilst we make every effort to contact you if your results are abnormal, we cannot ring all our patients to tell them their results are okay - we ask our patients to be responsible for obtaining results of their tests from the surgery.
