Welcome to the North Hill Medical Group
Our practice is an unusual one. We have three Surgery premises serving a rectangular area to the North of and including part of Colchester town centre. At a time when many practices are closing their branch Surgeries and recruitment of medical and nursing staff is not easy, we have chosen to continue in this way because we are aware of the many advantages which an excellent local service can provide for our patients. We are supported in this by first rate management and administration, and by the remarkable stability of the practice.
Over the last ten years there has been continued major investment in each of our 3 sites, not only in the premises themselves but in equipment and continued training and development of all our practice staff. In 2005 we became an accredited training practice linked with Cambridge University, providing training for medical students and GP Registrars.
Our practice Philosophy
We wish to offer our patients a friendly and personal high quality service. We endeavour to achieve the national targets for immunisations, cervical screening, prevention of heart disease, diabetes, hypertension and asthma, plus care of the elderly and those with mental health problems. We try to assist those who are disadvantaged by reason of age, social problems, mental illness or language to access the best possible health care. We aim to maintain good communication between team members and to encourage all staff to play an active part in the care of our patients.
